My work and contacts with Dr. Baliotis as a colleague have been stellar. She is a caring, ethical, committed professional, whose work with patients is highly empathic, warm, and sensitive to the individual. Dr. Baliotis is especially skilled in working with gifted and talented children, and their parents. She collaborates well with other professionals to enhance the benefits of therapy for her patients. I recommend her very highly.”

I rarely write reviews, but after a recent experience, I'm compelled to express my feelings. I've known other therapists, but Dr. Baliotis' style is unique. Her warm empathy & deep insight into my relationship patterns have helped me during some of the hardest times of my life. I've noticed so much positive growth in myself, and so have others. I attribute much of this to the help I've received from Dr. Baliotis. I wouldn't hesitate to refer her to my friends & family. Thank you, Dr. Baliotis!”
I am a childless woman. I wanted to have a baby so bad, I thought I was going to die. After the initial shock and sadness I tried so hard to avoid my grief. Dr. Baliotis reminded me over and over again that my grief was crucial to my healing and that bypassing it will hold me back in the end. She helped me sit with it until I could work through it. I can't believe I'm saying this, but sticking with this grief work opened up possibilities in me and my life that I couldn't have ever imagined. I do get sad sometimes when I think about what might've been, but I can honestly say I really love my life now. I feel fulfilled and look forward to all the ways I can live to my fullest. My work with Dr. Baliotis was well worth the investment and effort, and I'm so glad I did it."
Many people don't realize that gifted children are different and they need a different type of education. The assessment really meant a lot to us because we want to give the proper education to our child. When we went to assess our child, my wife and I didn't know what to expect, but Dr. Baliotis made the experience pleasant. Her knowledge with gifted children was evident, she answered all our questions. As our child developed, we can see how her report and feedback given to us matched his areas of development. We are grateful to have taken our child with someone that is knowledgeable with gifted children. We are pleased with the experience we had with Dr. Baliotis assessing our child. Thank you."
Father of gifted child
We were really frustrated with our daughter and didn't understand how her problem behaviors at school and home were her way of communicating her needs as a highly gifted child. Dr. Vula helped her learn to work through her extremely intense feelings and express herself using her words and artwork. She also helped us gain insight, but also a deep sense of empathy for our girl.
With the help of Dr. Vula's approach and feedback, our family relationships have improved so much, and school has become a joy for her once again. We are so, so grateful!"

Being in emotional pain can be difficult to bear. But the emotions you experience serve as useful signals that you need to tend to something important. You may be stuck, finding yourself repeating old, unwanted patterns, but unsure of how to move beyond them. It is important to address the sources of your pain.
If you are hoping to grow and to live a freer, fuller, and more fulfilling life, together, we can help you examine the difficulties you are experiencing within a safe environment. You may be seeking help to:
- Address destructive patterns
- Develop deeper relationships
- Grieve losses and disappointments so that you are free to move forward
- Develop tolerance and acceptance toward yourself and others
- Grow emotional flexibility, creativity, and generativity
- Experience the joys of life more fully and with more awareness
- Bear your pain and fear with compassion and strength
- Become more aligned between what you want, how you feel, and what you do
- Appreciate the benefits of and work through the losses that result from being different
- Work through the internal and societal oppressive forces that hold you down
- Develop an authentic identity
If any of these goals resonate for you, I am here to work with you.
